Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve was spent with xvan and weihao.

Caught the movie Avatar in the afternoon at the cathay with xvan. The movie was fantastic. Got myself awe towards the gorgeous, other worldly imagination of Pandora, plenty of unusual wild animals, and also during Jake's transformation as an Avatar. Pretty shock that there's such technology. Or maybe there isnt such thing on earth? maybe its solely for the movie. maybe, im not too sure either. The visuals throughout the movie are no doubt stunning, however the story lacked originality. Maybe i should stop leaking out the details. haha.

After movie, we met weihao at Bugis. Shopped around that area and off to town. Lots of squeezing and squashing over there. We had our last round of shopping at 313 before we leave for home.

On the day of Christmas, went sentosa with my family.

Spent almost the entire afternoon queuing for the 4D screening at sentosa. And worst of all, ive to put up with some detestable, horrible tourists cutting MY queue. Totally have no sense of shame. Pushing and squeezing in even after telling them off. Still have the cheek to queue infront of us as if nothing has happened. Grrrrr. Indonesians i guess or prolly malaysians.

Anyway, back to the 4D screening, i guess experiencing it once is enough. After everything, it was almost 7pm, left sentosa and off for dinner. Had our dinner at some restaurant serving yummy chicken rice.

Family celebrations or outings are always heart-warming.

Have a happy christmas folks:)

Zoo smells of Poo

We went to the zoo as suggested by my cousin. Since the last time i went was actually years ago? Can't really remember.

Time spent in the zoo was not as enjoyable as what i've initially thought. Blame it on the bad weather. It restricts me from taking out my camera to snap. It was raining almost the entire afternoon, which causes the animal show to be cancelled, animals in the enclosure in the hiding, and i've to wear the poncho throughout. But it beats better then holding a brolly.

wet weather.

the 3 green ghoulies scares her

Anyway, joined my parents, youngest sis, grandma and ema at Vivocity. Had our dinner at Sushi Tei. And coincidentally, Alvis works there and so happened to serve our table.

Hoping to watch Avatar 3D after our dinner. But to our dismay, there are no more seats available. Hence, we changed our plan and headed down to Holland V for some ice-cream while my dad drove my mom, ema and grandma back home.

We are golden

Out with V6 but then again missing one member, Alvis.

Lunch at Hong Kong Cafe. Not a very comfy lunch i had. The table we had was suppose to fit only 4 people. However, with the limited seats, we have no choice. i have to squeeze with Bernie and Weihao.

Subsequently, we made our way to Settler's cafe at SMU for some games. Played all kinds of games.

After the long hours of games, we walked over to Singapore Flyer for our dinner. AND YES, its a long walk, long long one.

lols. not ready for the shot yet. still posing. hahaha

Lying on the grass patch. Its aint a comfy pose. i have to endure the prick of the grass which is really ouch. But we wanted to find back the same feeling the 3 of us had laid on the grass patch at Esplanade rooftop years ago. And that shot was fantastic. So we were trying to find that feeling back. haha!!

Looking forward to our picnic!!

Tonight seems promising

so i've decided to blog a little. havent been updating uh.

now what?

hmmm.

Rehearsals's back. Leroy Anderson music for a change. Sticking with the viola, thought that i could play back my violin after the performance but nah, i've to obey when the big boss speaks. We played the Syncopated Clock, quite a fun song to meddle with.

Life's been easy breezy for me. I think its nicer to be in this way. Oh ya, caught the movie 2012 some time ago with cheryl. Suddenly had the urge to do some sports, swimming probably? But i'm really, seriously, totally, absolutely, completely lazy to get my ass off to the swimming pool -.-"

Muffin had a castrate surgery on Saturday. She look in pain and shag ):

Reflections 09

Today was my last day after quite a lengthy run.

After months and weeks of rehearsing, our efforts have finally paid off. We are not the best but yet, we'd really put our hearts into this performance despite our hectic schedule. Many a times, even though we had our hearts pierced by our conductor with his very sarcastic remarks, we gritted our teeth, persevered and move on.

The times we rehearse together, the fun we had together, the gossips that we share, the times when we get scolded together, the times that we crap together, it will never be forgotten. It might be the last day of us playing together, but i do hope that our friendship will never end. Of coz, the music that we played together will always live in our heart.

And so, today's performance was a success - dr yeo.

Thanks yuehui, michelle and huishan for supporting :D

Huishan's staring at me :s

aiyoooo. so cute

Thanks all for the birthday present!!

Its officially my 19th birthday

Thanks everyone for their wishes and specially thanks the lovelies who have actually exercised their vocals to sing the birthday song for me.

Not much of outing celebration due to the overwhelming rehearsals conquering my after school time. Nonetheless, a great thankyou to all those who took the time to celebrate for me :)

First celebration was during lesson breakout, cheryl, felicia, diona, sokky, jacky, jacintha and nigel surprised me with a chocolate ice cream cake. Really appreciate that :D

On that day, they show no "we are going to celebrate for tinghui" on their faces so i didnt expect much either. And not forgetting to mention about spouse and sok, we happen to be in the same class but they acted like they dont know is my birthday. I thought that it's such a waste that they aint actors.

Also, thanks E26K for the birthday song too. Owing to spouse, who wrote a big happy birthday on msn, and good gracious, faci happen to see it when she walked past. It was rather embarrassing because i dont know the people in the class well enough as im the only supply chain student in the class.

im loving the pink nike bottle to bits!

Another surprise was at the later part of the day, when having my rehearsals. Shihua, Xinrui, Sri, Wanting, Woon Fung, Yuki, Gillian, Guoyan and Dr Yeo! Dr yeo was busy flashing a torch because the lights went off. lol. I wonder why he brings a torch around. hahaha. Prolly afraid that halfway pooing or shhh-ing, the toilet lights goes off -.-

Back at home, my family celebrated with me too

Happy 19th Birthday to myself =]

V6 minus 2

V6 had a movie date!

But sadly Alvis and Ting Ting couldn't make it. Anyway, we caught the movie My Sister's Keeper at PS.

The movie was pretty touching. Bernie sitting beside me was weeping away, causing much noise pollution. Our face was feeling sticky after all the crying. lol

Volunteering

Had a tiring and long day yesterday but it was definitely worthwhile =]

Guoyan has been asking me to go down for some volunteering the past few weeks. But i've been rather busy. Finally yesterday, i took the time down.

The five of us, Gillian, Claris, Guoyan, Wei Wen and myself was suppose to meet at Marsilling, 1.15pm. But in the end, there was only me and wei wen and the in-charge who is driving us to the home. The rest were late. We waited almost like 45mins!! And yet, Gillian is still not in sight.

Wei wen and i left with Joseph (one of the ic) to the home first because the elderly needs to eat. Leaving Anthony (another ic) and Guoyan to wait for Gillian. While, Claris is going down straight herself.

The 3hours spent there was fun! During lunch time, some of us helped to cut the food into smaller pieces while the others brew coffee and tea. Music was being played in the dining hall. Which causes an elderly to dance along with the song Beat It by Michael Jackson.

There were 2 other elderly fighting over some minor stuff. Basically spitting at each other, but to be honest there weren't much saliva being spitted out. And there's this elderly trying to be the mediator waving his hands between them to stop the commotion. Hahaha.

Next, we brought some of the elderly for a walk. The guy that i was in-charge of was funny. Along the way, we passed by some coffee shop and he went around saying hi to people and giving them hi-5. What really gave me a laugh was that, we took a break at a coffee shop and i asked the elderly, "What do you want to drink" (in hokkien) and he answered swiftly "Peisi Cola". hahahaha. Maybe you would think its not funny but you really had to be there to witness that scene. Its totally LOL.

Anyway, after the volunteering, we proceeded with our plan. Weiwen, and myself followed Gillian back home to get the Chicken Wings that her mom had prepared. While, Guoyan left with Claris back home to prepare pizza!!

After getting the wings, we went Cold Storage to get some drinks and snacks. After we're done with the shopping, we took a cab down to Claris condo at Hillview. Back at there, Gouyan was busy preparing his pizza. While waiting for him, we played the movie "Dirty Dancing". And when dinner was ready, we got all the food laid on the table and start munching! There's pizza, soup, fries, wings all homemade. I hate to say but i have to say, Gouyan's culinary skills is unsurpassed. His pizza and soup was delicious but the fries was a little "soft" but it was still quite okay.

Played another movie "The Italian Job". And we sat in the cosy living room watching and munching on our snacks. After the movie it was already, 12midnight. Luckily, ive got a direct bus back home.

It was a long day but i really had fun =]

School is inhaling all my air and I can hardly breathe. Packed with activities each and everyday. Classes in the morning, which is totally lifeless and IG afterwhich. Lesson are getting real boring. I'm not as noisy as i were in class anymore. I hardly talk now.

Reflections is drawing near and thus rehearsals are conquering every of my evenings. I guess things will be a little better after the performance ends.

Yesterday after school, hang out with Bernie. I believe its the first hanging out session so far after school re-opens?

Another crazy night.

Stomp 09'

Managed to catch Stomp performing at the Esplanade. I swear that they were simply talented and fabulous :D

The eight performers make music with dustpans, rusty metal signs, ladders, folding chairs, boxes of kitchen matches, paper bags, garbage cans, oil drums and yes, even a quartet of kitchen sinks.

Taking one surface, putting it in contact with one another. And presto, a rhythm is born. Incredible. Not forgetting that, the show had made a success, to have us bursting into laughter =]

Before the show, the four of us, aunt, sister, cousin and myself went for dinner at some Japanese Restaurant at Esplanade. Dont really like the food there :/

This is it, Stomp 09' was a blast :D
Definitely made my night.

Superdog experience

Xvan Bernie NicOlson called me in the middle of 3pm to ask me out.

Went Vivocity. Xvan did some shopping but turned out there weren't that many choices for guys there. Had dinner at Superdog. Surprisingly, it was both our first time eating there :p

Something that kept Xvan and me memorable was thaat... He ordered a chicken burger, upsized fries and drink and it cost him 6 bucks. Whereas, i ordered a grilled fish burger, with no upsize and it cost me 7.50 bucks!!! So much of a difference.

So while we were sitting down, eating our stuffs we were trying to figure out what the hell happened. End up, we realized that he was charged with the student price by the lady at his counter thought he did not say he wanted a student set meal or anything, and i was charged the standard price. zzz

oh hello, do i look very old?

Kite flying

My family newly picked up hobby, flying kites :p

My aunt, uncle and cousin joined us too =]

Muffin tooooo!

Muffin look big here

but small here

my aunt =]

my youngest sis

After flying, we headed over to East Coast for dinner. I took my dad's car back home while my cousin, aunt, uncle and muffin took a ride in my sister's car.

The greatest discovery today was: i know how to fly a kite. At first, i thought i couldn't.

But i just did it =]

A get-together session

Had a gathering with my secondary school mates. The eight of us roamed around the City Hall area for the day. The ladies, including me was late :p

The initial plan was to play pool. But most of us, including me, again, does not really know how to pool. Hence, we went to Mindcafe for some boardgames. To begin with, i had a thought that, what fun could playing board games bring.

However, right after our game started, we people were all yelling and screaming away. I must say that we were pretty high to the extend that we spilled 2 cups of drinks. One landed on Kengtat's bag. Fortunately, the drink was only quarter full. But for the second time, the newly refilled cup got spilled on his lap.

We had great fun.

Left for Suntec's arcade after 3hours of board games. Dinner afterwhich. Queue for Ashton was longgg. So we went Just Noodles. Not too bad =]

Cam-whored :p

Forever is not a timeline. Forever is a feeling.

With the devils

Accompanied my parents and two little devils to shop for their clothes for our cousin's wedding.

Went Chinatown's OG to pick. My brother tried on quite a number of suit. Thus, he got quite impatient. My sister was much easier. Picked 2, and both fit nicely =]

Caught in some embarrassing moment thanks to my brother. My sister was trying in the fitting room and i was waiting outside. My brother came along with a dress (those wedding kind of dress, lacey lacey kind).

I told him "Woah, the dress so big, your sister cant fit in lah"
And he said "No! this is for you"

Followed by a motherly action which was placing the dress against me to see whether it fits without trying. I said "This one is for kids one lah" And he replied saying "There, can fit you what. long enough"

LOL.

The embarrassing thing was that a salesgirl was actually listening to what we are saying and stood rooted giggling at me -.-

As soon as they got home, they had a fashion parade. Showed my grandma, my maid, my third sis and my elder sister. Its everyone =]

His suit got quite abit of layer. And it weigh quite abit :/
